Mango Cream Tart Recipe

Mango Cream Tart that combines the sweet, tropical flavor of mangoes with a creamy, rich filling, all encased in a crisp tart shell. It’s perfect for summer gatherings or as a refreshing dessert any time of the year.


For the Tart Shell:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 large egg, beaten

For the Mango Cream Filling:

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness of mangoes)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese, at room temperature

For the Topping:

  • 1 ripe mango, thinly sliced
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)


1. Make the Tart Shell:

  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a food processor, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  • Add Butter: Add cold, cubed butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add Egg: Gradually add beaten egg and pulse until dough forms.
  • Chill: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Pre-bake: Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Prick the bottom with a fork. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes until golden. Allow to cool.

2. Prepare Mango Cream Filling:

  • Puree Mangoes: Blend diced mangoes with sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  • Whip Cream: In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Combine: Gently fold the mango puree and mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until well combined.
  • Fill Tart Shell: Pour the mango cream mixture into the cooled tart shell and smooth the top.

3. Decorate and Chill:

  • Arrange Mango Slices: Neatly arrange the mango slices on top of the filled tart.
  • Chill: Refrigerate the tart for at least 3 hours or until set.

4. Serve:

  • Garnish: Add mint leaves for a fresh contrast, if desired.
  • Slice and Serve: Remove the tart from the pan, slice, and serve chilled.


  • Mango Selection: Use ripe, sweet mangoes for the best flavor.
  • Mascarpone Substitute: If mascarpone is unavailable, you can use cream cheese softened at room temperature.
  • Serving Suggestion: This tart pairs wonderfully with a light dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of honey.
