Quick and Tasty Eggless Chocolate Mug Cake Recipe!

  • 3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil/ Melted Butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
  • Ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)


  1. Prepare the Mug: Use a microwave-safe mug and add the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix these thoroughly to avoid lumps.
  1. Add Wet Ingredients: To the same mug, add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  1. Add Chocolate Chips: Mix in the chocolate chips if using. They add a nice gooey texture to the cake.
  1. Microwave: Place the mug in the microwave and heat it on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The timing might vary depending on your microwave’s power, so start checking at 1 minute 30 seconds to avoid overcooking.
  1. Check and Serve: The cake should rise and be springy when touched. Let it cool for a couple of minutes as it will be very hot. You can top it with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
