Vegan Brownie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350Ā°F (175Ā°C).
    • Lightly grease an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  1. Mix dry ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  1. Add wet ingredients:
    • Add the almond milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
    • Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  1. Add optional ingredients:
    • Fold in the vegan chocolate chips and chopped nuts if using.
  1. Pour and spread batter:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
    • Spread it evenly with a spatula.
  1. Bake the brownies:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
    • Be careful not to overbake to ensure a fudgy texture.
  1. Cool and cut:
    • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
    • Once cool, cut into squares and enjoy!
